Kodak Retina IIICCoupled range finder folding 35mm camera.
Although this was one of my all time favourite cameras I do not have a photo of it! However it is very similar to the Retina IIc I owned, only having the in-built uncoupled light meter, and being a Big C the larger brighter view finder. I have linked to an image from an open source service, these were supplied by Jeff dean at en.wikipedia and original photo is here.
There are many excellent articles on the web about this classic camera, so no point duplicating these, so I will just report my experiences and the following links are a good starting point for reference information.
Most of my comments on Retina IIc are applicable to the IIC so please click here to see them.
I purchased my model from the USA, it was reasonably priced and in good condition. It was given a full service by Ed Trzoska Europhoto in Leicester and was a dream.
Below is one of my favourite photos taken with it.
This is my father in law Philip Ganderton in his late eighties. He died in 2011 aged 94, a good age considering he had spent three and a half years as a Prisoner of War in Java and surrounding islands. His story can be read here.
